# Venice Fishing Update: Strong Inshore Bite and Offshore Action Capt. Jason Dozier here with an October update from Venice, Louisiana. We’ve had some rain and wind this week, but our customers have still been catching lots of speckled trout and redfish on inshore trips. With low Mississippi River water levels, we expect the fishing to get even better in the weeks ahead. Fall is a great time to plan a [Venice LA fishing](https://fishnla.com/) trip, whether you’re interested in working the inshore waters or heading offshore. When the weather has allowed, we’ve also been catching yellowfin tuna and amberjack offshore. October usually offers a great variety of offshore fishing opportunities, and we’re making the most of the weather windows. Visit our [latest Venice fishing reports](PASTE-REPORT-URL-HERE) to see the full update, along with photos and short videos from our fishing trips. We’re also booking [cast and blast](https://huntnla.com/) trips with HuntNLA, combining guided duck hunting with inshore fishing for redfish and speckled trout.
